Meanwhile, the Season 2 finale ended bitterly for the Pogues, who are stuck on a deserted island in the middle of the Caribbean, having let the Denmark Cross and the $400 million in gold slip from their grasp once again. Fans were itching for an insight into the new season, after the finale ended on a wild cliffhanger, revealing that Big John, John B’s supposedly dead father, is in fact still alive.
The newly released Season 3 trailer was exactly what fans needed, showing a montage of aggressive fights, vehicle chasing, plane crashes, as well as a snippet of Ward Cameron, Sarah’s nefarious father, who faked his death. The montage ended with a blurred shot of Big John, before cutting to a cliff-jumping scene in which the teaser finished.
Although Season 3 is not officially released until December, we can expect this new season to continue the treasure hunt of the prior seasons. The $400 million in gold is still in the Bahamas, and the Denmark Cross was stolen by the Cameron family, so the Pogues will be determined to take this back. Perhaps Ward Cameron will also be discovered as alive, and we will see his attempt to bring Sarah back into the family, away from the Pogue life. What most of us are wondering however, is whether we will see a reunion between John B and his father, and if so, how did he survive? See you all in Poguelandia!
