The Cast of Kinky Boots

In modern society, we are surrounded by sadness, poverty and death all throughout our lives, the news and those around us. Life is far more difficult than it ever has been. And yet, there are occasional glimmers that bring back elements of joy: a kind stranger on the bus beaming at you, your favorite meal for dinner when you get home and knowing Kinky Boots debuts at the Newcastle Theatre Royal on the 29th October.

After hitting the West End and Broadway, Kinky Boots thought to herself ‘sure, I want to go to the party capital!’ Personally, I think it has even enhanced our status and by the end of this article, you won't just agree, you'll be counting down the days until you can go and see it.

"Arguably, he is the only actor qualified enough for the show but with how accurately these actors fit the bill, we can look past it. "

Let's start by the unveiling of the all-star cast bringing to life these incredible characters. First up, we have the tremendous Paula Lane starring as Lauren. You may have seen her on those cringey Coronation Street adverts but we're just going to have to look past that because everyone makes mistakes. At least it isn't Hollyoaks. Next, we have the beautiful Callum Francis as Lola who looks better in sequins than I ever could. And lastly but nowhere near the least, the sensational Joel Harper-Jackson playing Charlie. Arguably, he is the only actor qualified enough for the show but with how accurately these actors fit the bill, we can look past it.

On top of these rather cool people, there is a pretty good reason why the story of Kinky Boots has swam across oceans to be brought just for us. Kinky Boots likes to brag (she is so insufferable) that she has won 6 Broadway Tony Awards, 3 Olivier Awards and 3 WhatsOnStage Awards. An impressive collection, I know- how did she have enough hands to hold them all?

All in all, this inspirational musical preaches the importance of friendship and happiness by taking what you want. I feel these are the messages we need to be hearing today to remind us of what is important which is why you should scamper off now to order you tickets- take some time for your happiness. Next time you hear from me, I'll be saying I told you so.
