According to a statement made by Tate McRae on her Instagram, "Holidays are hotter in Skims." And after Kim Kardashian’s official Skims seasonal drop was launched on October 30, we can certainly agree. Major success last winter has brought the holiday shop back for another year with an exclusive range of 150 different pieces of luxury, elevated loungewear and reimagined classics.

Skims campaigns across the last few years have grown an extensive list of celebrity endorsements, appealing to a wide clientele, and this year is no exception. Tate McRae, the 21-year-old Canadian singer who brought us multi-platinum earworms such as ‘Greedy’ and ‘Exes’ is the face of a very merry Skims Christmas. After starting out as a professional dancer, McRae has been building her singing career and has become an important artist for ‘saving pop music’ this year alongside other female pop icons such as Charli XCX, Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan. The choice to use McRae in the shoot was an obvious one, with Kardashian praising her for being "captivating, beautiful and truly of the moment."

The whole campaign feels reminiscent of vintage Cola-Cola advertisements.

The campaign brings Tate into the modelling spotlight, and for no less than one of the hottest brands at the moment, bringing Kardashian's products to life with a playful spirit that captivates the fun feeling of Christmas cheer. The whole campaign feels reminiscent of vintage Coca-Cola advertisements, but with the addition of stuffed polar bears and even the appearance of a triceratops in a shot where Tate models the ‘sugar-plum cami pyjama set’, adding to the playfulness of both her character and the message the brand wants to portray this Christmas.

Cranberry red is the headline shade of the campaign with lace bodysuits, lingerie, cami sets and pyjamas stealing the show. The range is expensive with pieces averaging around $60-$100, but Skims has been consistently praised for its high-quality finishes. All the styles have a comfy, romantic aesthetic, which pairs perfectly with the vintage-feel shots directed by Harmony Korine. The campaign is overall a great success, and customers can shop now at https://skims.com/en-gb/collections/gift-guide
