As of February 1st, university lecturers who are a part of the University and College Union (UCU) will be striking for 18 days over February and March.

This comes after the three days they’ve previously taken in November, which affected students nationwide.

These 18 days will see 150 UK institutions striking, whilst students will find themselves with just 22 days of teaching - 55% of days being taught.

Unfortunately for students, the days of the UCU strike are widely spread out across:

1st Feb

9th - 10th Feb

14th - 16th Feb

21st - 23rd Feb

27th - 28th Feb

1st - 2nd March

16th - 17th March

20th - 22nd March

This comes with a marking boycott, which has already started at the end of the exam season, and the potential of another in the next exam season at the end of April.
